We are pleased to announce the appointment of Stuart Bower as their Prospective Parliamentary Candidate.

‘I live in Upper Beeding, so know my area well.

 I became politically aware as a police officer during the 1984/1985 miners’ strike. Whatever the rights and wrongs, I did not become a policeman to be a hired thug for the establishment.

 I was the Hove Labour Party Constituency Secretary during the 1997 general election, when we won the famous local victory, which caused Tony Blair to say “Now I know that I’ve won”. I soon discovered that we had replaced one corrupt government with one even worse. I never thought that ten years later I would be taking the Labour Prime Minister to Court in an attempt to force him to honour his election manifesto.

 Giving hours of free time to elect a Labour Government was probably the biggest mistake of my life. I hope to put matters right by working for UKIP

The above Constituency Association are pleased to announce the appointment of Douglas Denny as their Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the forthcoming Parliamentary elections.

Douglas Denny has been involved in politics for 30 years, the last 15 of which he has been fighting to remove Britain from the evils of the European Union. He is in his second term of membership of UKIP's national executive committee and has stood three times in general elections for Chichester,  gaining one of the highest votes in the country and increasing the profile and membership of the party.

 He has represented the party at public meetings, has been a candidate in many local authority elections and was a Portsmouth City Councillor for four years.

 Originally from Barrow-in Furness, Douglas is a family man, has lived in Bosham for 25 years, and has run his own two businesses as an optometrist.
